Official 'Nosferatu' Trailer Teases Skarsgård's Count Orlok

Since making his feature film directorial debut back in 2015, Robert Eggers is a filmmaker that has largely been implementing a fresh perspective onto the horror film genre with his unique style of storytelling.

Eggers has played a pivotal role within the dramatic increase of interest amongst film lovers for the horror film genre, and this all began with his 92-minute 17th century based horror/mystery 'The Witch', starring an inexperienced Anya Taylor-Joy.

The young director now brings us his next film, and far-and-away his largest in terms of production budget, 'Nosferatu'.

This film serves as a remake of the 1922 F. W. Murnau's 'Nosferatu: A Symphony Of Horror' which stars German actor, Max Schreck as the infamous Count Orlok.

Flash forward to over a century later, and fans can wait in eager anticipation as the most recent trailer release revealed the first official snippet of Bill Skarsgård as the blood-sucking vampire. Although fans will have to wait until the film's cinematic release to see more of Skarsgård go full vampire, the trailer does provide us fans with much more than we seem to be able to chew.

The trailer, which consists of a run time of over two and a half minutes, reveals much more to it's audience members than the initial teaser trailer did just a few months ago. This time around, fans who are unaware of the storyline of 'Nosferatu' are provided with a much clearer insight as to what they will be getting themsevles in for come Christmas day (the film's global release date).

We can expect to see Lily-Rose Depp headline the film as Ellen Hutter, a young woman who finds herself in a unique and questionable romantic entanglement with Skarsgård's Count Orlok, after her newly-wed husband is sent to finalise a deal with the vampire.

The cinematography we are treated to seeing throughout the entirety of this trailer truly is a credit to the unique and satisfying vision Eggers possesses for storytelling. As well as providing fans with another reason to get excited for December 25th.
