The rapidly expanding world of 'A Quiet Place' has just provided filmlovers around the globe with the next insight into the third instalment of the franchise through the form of a teaser trailer.
Worldwide audiences were first introduced to the 'A Quiet Place' franchise back in 2018, when director, writer and actor John Krasinski brought the horrifying and intense world to the big screen.
Although Krasinski is the man responsible for the success of the previous two movies, allowing what was originally a stand-alone production to now be launched into a franchise, the baton has now been passed on as inexperienced filmmaker, Michael Sarnoski, will be filling the director's chair.
If you're unfamiliar with Sarnoski's recent work, the American filmmaker is responsible for bringing 'PIG' to our screens back in 2021. In which we saw Nicolas Cage star as a truffle hunter living alone in the Oregon forest, searching desperately for his recently-kidnapped pig.
The first two films in the franchise follow the story of a married couple, played by John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, as they attempt to navigate around their new-found world and protect their children at all costs.
Whereas in the 'A Quiet Place: Day One' trailer, the timeline is reset as we are taken all the way back to when the crazy world of not being able to make a sound originated. For fans of the first two films that may need a little more clarity on how the 'A Quiet Place' world began this film is sure to answer their questions.
Although the trailer itself provides us with little context in regards to the storyline of the movie, we do see Mexican-Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong'o make a return to the big screen as the protagonist in this movie. There is still little to be revealed regarding who Nyong'o plays in this film, but we do know she will be joined by the likes of Djimon Hounsou, Joseph Quinn and Alex Wolff as members of the cast.
Despite the fact that this movie received no involvement from Krasinski whatsoever, the trailer still manages to capture the same level of horror and craziness that is encapsulated across the first two movies.
With an official release date expected to be somewhere in June 2024, there is still plenty of time for fans to wait and receive more information and context about this film before it's is shown on the big screen.
