Ever since the news was released that 'Oppenheimer' director, Christopher Nolan, would be teaming up with Universal for only the second time to produce his next upcoming project, the blockbuster list of names attached to the project has grown longer and longer.
The first two names attached to the project came through the shape of frequent Nolan-collaborator and industry titan, Matt Damon, as well as everyone's friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, Tom Holland. It has been revealed that the two will star alongside eachother as co-leads for this project, marking the first project that Holland will share with the English filmmaker, but the third for Jason Bourne himself.
Not long after, it was revealed that both Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are set to be attached to the project. Much like the Spider-man to her MJ, this will also be Zendaya's debut collaboration with Mr Nolan, whereas this will be the third time for the Academy Award-winning Hathaway, having featured in 'The Dark Knight Rises' in 2012 and 'Interstellar' in 2014.
Now, British actress Lupita Nyong'o lends herself as the fifth member and newest addition to the ever-expanding attached to the project. Nyong'o, who won an Academy Award for her performance in Steve McQueen's '12 Years A Slave', has plenty of blockbuster experience having played a pivotal role in the success of both 'Black Panther' movies as well as performed a voice-over role in recents Star Wars projects such as 'The Force Awakens' and 'The Last Jedi'.
As for what the film actually is and who these actors are expected to portray, just like you, we are very much in the dark here. Thousands of movie-lovers and Nolan-addicts online seem to have jumped to the conclusion that the untitled project will revolve around either one of the following:
An action-based storyline following two helicopter fighter pilots
A vampire-themed period piece
Something completely different to the above
Any rumour or idea you have either heard or read so far is most definitely just speculation, as for now, that is all we can do. But the day will soon come when we are sat down in the cinemas in eager anticipation to see what the Academy Award-winning filmmaker will bring to us next.
But for the short term, the least we can do is sit back and wait to see which A-list actor will added to the call sheet next. Who would you like to see attached to the project?
