Following the long-awaited conclusion to the actor's strike within the film industry in Hollywood, James Gunn has since confirmed that he has every intention of reaching the original 2025 projected release date for the upcoming 'Superman: Legacy'.

To keep on track for the projected release slot, this also coincides with the fact that the casting announcements must keep up.

The most recent announcement that adds to the list of impressive talent amongst the cast for 'Superman: Legacy', comes through the form of English actor Nicholas Hoult, who we will be able to witness on the big screen as none other than Lex Luthor.

Various recognisable and talented actors have portrayed the iconic villain on the big screen across previous Superman projects such as Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey and most recently, Jesse Eisenberg.

And it goes without saying that from an initial point of view, Hoult will be a brilliant addition to the list of actors to have portrayed the man that is known as the most iconic and well-known Superman villain.

If you think that this will be the first taste of comic book interpretation for the English actor, you are sadly mistaken. As Hoult took on the responsibility of portraying 'Beast' on three different occasions in X-Men movies in the 2010's.

Hoult will be expected to provide a new breath of bresh air to the character of Lex Luthor, following Eisenberg's criticised performance of him in recent years.

Appearing alongside Hoult in 'Superman: Legacy, we will see David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as Superman and Lois Lane repspectively. As well as n Fillion, Ed Gathegi and Anthony Carrigan.
