What could easily have been described as one of the most wide-open and confusing awards seasons ever can now be described as THE most wide-open and confusing awards season ever. The recent turn of events that took place in London at the EE BAFTAs last night has made the outcome of the inevitable Academy Awards all the more impossible to predict.
Before yesterday's winners were read aloud for the first time, there were few categories that were difficult to call. Demi Moore was winning Best Actress, 'The Brutalist' was winning Best Film, and 'Anora' was winning Best Original Screenplay.
