Following the recent Instagram post from Marvel’s very own, and our new Captain America, Anthony Mackie, we are provided with the news that Captain America 4 has received a new title.
The film, set to star Mackie as our new Captain America, was originally named “Captain America: New World Order”. However, the graphic on the back of the seat featured in Mackie’s recent Instagram post states that the film will now be labelled as “Captain America: Brave New World”.
The movie itself is the 4th production within the Captain America franchise and is set to follow the recent events of Disney+ limited series: The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.
Although there is limited information to be fully aware of about the film at this moment in time, we do know that the production is set for cinematic release on May 3rd, 2024.
The image also features Harrison Ford, who is destined to make his MCU debut in the shoes of Thunderbolt Ross, formerly played by William Hurt who sadly passed away in 2022.
As well as this, Liv Tyler is also set to reprise her role as Betty Ross (Thunderbolt’s daughter) and Tim Blake Nelson is confirmed to be returning as Samuel Sterns. Both to be seen for the first time since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.
In The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, we saw Sam Wilson wrangling with the idea of whether he even wants to accept the shield and take over as the new Captain America.
The US make an attempt at integrating a new government-controlled side to the Avengers by hiring John Walker (Wyatt Russell) as the new Captain America. But it doesn’t take long until Wilson finally decides to take on the role and responsibility that is Captain America.
