'A Quiet Place: Day One' Hit With Three Month Delay

At around noon on the 23 of October, 2023, it was announced that the next chapter within the 'A Quiet Place' storyline will be facing a brief delay regarding it's worldwide release in 2024.

With an originally intended release date of March 8th, 2024, fans of the first two movies will now have to wait an extra three months for the next chapter in the sci-fi/horror saga, with June 28th being the newly intended day of release.

Although no official statement has been released as to why the highly-anticipated movie has been delayed a further 112 days, it wouldn't be ridiculous to assume that the recent SAG AFTRA strikes will have played some part.

'A Quiet Place: Day One' will serve as a prequel to the first two storylines within the quickly-growing franchise, and is set to star recognisable faces such as Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn and Alex Wolff.

Although some audience members that experienced the second instalment of the horror franchise will have some idea as to how the whole 'A Quiet Place' concept began thanks to the opening sequence of the movie, the surface has barely been breached.

Fans will hope that they can gather a better understanding of the 'A Quiet Place' origin story through the third movie, which will hopefully allow the three films to come full circle and gain more clearance on the wacky events we saw occur in the previous two.

If you are in any way effected by the three month delay for this movie, you should count yourself lucky you aren't a Mission Impossible fan. And if you're a fan of both franchises, this really isn't your day.

Yesterday, Paramount also released a statement which reveals that 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part 2', will be facing a delay all the way until May 23, 2025.

This new release date comes almost a year after the film was originally intended for release.
